Good location and choice of outdoor scenes to paint with cover in case of rain ? Tables and chairs available so that helps immensely? Tutor friendly and knowledgeable? Group interesting to work with ? Loved the cafe close by too for coffee / toilets .. Parking cost an added expense though?

Title or Location: Highland Threshold
This piece emerged during a study in limited palette work, using only magenta, blue, yellow and Payne?s Grey to explore warm and cool contrasts. As the layers built, the stag began to feel less like a symbol and more like a quiet presence ? something appearing between mist and light, supported by the land. I was drawn to letting edges soften and dissolve into the landscape, allowing the stag to feel both grounded and ethereal at once.

Beautiful early summer sunset. Particular love the dark cityscape as the backdrop. The sharp contrast made it a perfect inspiration for painting.
